Good Sunday: Rockabilly Salute; the Sinatra Invitational
It’s another hour of fun and entertainment on this weekend’s"Good Sunday" as singer/author Jerry Naylor goes one-on-one with host Roger Galloway on rockabilly. It’s a perfect time as the Rockabilly Reunion takes place this weekend in Lake Havasu City. Jerry talks about his relationship with Buddy Holly and how he took over for years as the lead singer of the Crickets. He’ll also talk about the special sounds of this great American genre and performers like Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and, of course, Elvis. Jerry has a great book called “Rockabilly Legends” that features five major musical CDs on great artists like Buddy, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton, and many more.
Also, Judy Vossler, director of next weekend’s big Frank Sinatra Invitational Tournament invites Tri State residents to make the trip to Indio and talk directly to the celebrities on the golf course as they play at Eagle Falls (there will be no barriers.) She and Roger go over some of the fantastic events taking place –parties galore too.
