Joan Blaeser, 78, passed away March 13th. She was born and raised in Chicago. She met and married Larry Blaeser in 1954. They had and raised 3 children, moving to Havasu in 1983 after Larry retired from the Chicago Fire Department.
Joan is survived by her husband Larry of 56 years; children: Laurie (Harlan) Fuller of Bloomington, IL, Larry (Linda) Blaeser of Evergreen Park, IL, and Dan (Isabel) Blaeser of Havasu; grandchildren: Erin, Lisa, ad Kelly Powell of Bloomington, IL, Luke Blaeser of Evergreen Park, IL, and Justin (Trish) Bacon and daughter Lilly of Havasu; and grand-dog Harley.
Joan retired from the London Bridge Candle Shop. She served as treasurer for the Queens Bay Queens, a Havasu Golf League. She enjoyed fundraising for local charities, visiting with friends and family, and playing golf. She will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Haven Family Resource Center, Western Arizona Humane Society, or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 18th at 12:00pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
