A plea agreement has been reached quickly in the case against a Kingman woman who was arrested just last month and charged with sexually molesting and exploiting her own six year-old daughter. Lori Diane Henson, 37, pled guilty Monday to molestation of a child and two counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
Punishment prescribed in the deal require imposition of a ten year prison term when Henson is sentenced March 1 by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Williams. Upon completion of the sentence Henson will spend the rest of her life on probation and be required to register as a sex offender.
Prosecutor Megan McCoy said the molestation count is related to Henson's touching and staging her naked daughter when she used her cell phone to take a picture. McCoy said Henson downloaded the image from her phone to her boyfriend's laptop computer and then sent it to another party out of state.
The distribution part of the case remains under investigation.
Court records indicate the boyfriend contacted the daughter's natural father when he discovered the images on his laptop. The father, in turn, contacted law enforcement.
14 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor are dismissed in the deal.
