LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ - With numerous national media outlets focusing on the recall of certain models of Toyota vehicles with accelerator pedal issues, Anderson Toyota in Lake Havasu City is actually fixing the problem.
"We currently have parts available and parts coming in daily to handle this accelerator issue," Owner Jason Anderson told the Tri-State News Network. "What we're informing customers to do is to call us at the dealership -- at 928-764-2886 -- and ask for Chris Strang, our service director. He is scheduling these appointments."
The models involved in the recall include the following:
- Certain 2009 - 2010 RAV4
- Certain 2009 - 2010 Corolla
- 2009 - 2010 Matrix
- 2005 - 2010 Avalon
- Certain 2007 - 2010 Camry
- Certain 2010 Highlander
- 2007 - 2010 Tundra
- 2008 - 2010 Sequoia
Anderson said that appointments can also made through the dealership's website, at www.AndersonDeals.com. "Whether they purchased the car in the area or they just moved to the area -- whatever the case is -- they need to just get it in here if their car is in that range of vehicles. They need to just get in here and have it done." He noted that the fix takes all of about 30 minutes.
Anderson noted that his dealership is also prepared for extended hours, should the volume of customers become such that extra hours are needed.
